I have an irrational fear of tornadoes. But I thought these tornado watches were a little, hmm, let me just say I wasn't taking them very seriously. But apparently there was a tornado just east of Keysville. That's barely 15 miles from here. Ah~ Now there's a huge line spanning the entire length of Virginia and only a county away from Charlotte. Gosh. I love and hate thunderstorms. Tornado watch was posted early and it ran out at 9 PM, but it was renewed and it expires at 4 AM. I think I'm going to go listen to my iPod, read and ignore the storm. Why do storms scare people? It's bizarre.

I've never seen a tornado, but I am sure that it must be scary!

The only thing I've seen are similar things in the sea. You can see them from the beach, and it's like a column of water that rises to the sky

I've never seen a tornado, either.

Ooh, a waterspout. A water tornado *nods* I think that would be kind of cool to see. I've seen some pictures, and they look pretty. But still scary, haha.

Don't worry, I'm terrified of them as well. We tend to get tornado warnings around here frequently and everytime they occurr, I try to pretend like it isn't happening so I don't have a total freakout, lol.

I love/hate thunderstorms as well. I like them when I'm safe inside my home, but despise them when I'm out somewhere driving on the road. Especially when there's tons of lightning, in which....living in Tampa, FL (otherwise known as the LIGHTNING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD lol) we are definitely not in any short supply of. I was once at a friend's house when her pool sliding door was struck by lightning. It was so scary. :(

Haha, that's what I tend to do. Pretend they aren't happening *nods* It's kind of weird to get a tornado in VA because it's kinda hilly and stuff, it's wind breaks and all that jazz, but we do tend to get them more often than I'd like. My mom grew up in Nebraska, and grew up with tornadoes...you would think I would be kinda okay with them. haha, but no.

Ohh, I'm kinda the same way. I like to be in a car, though. I feel more boxed in and hence, more safe. Haha, do you really get more lightning than in most other places?? Man, I can't imagine being soooo close to a lightning strike like that!!! (I've only been close to a tree by the house that was struck, but not as close as the house itself) I bet that was really really loud, huh? Was the door okay? Or, I'm guessing it wasn't... lol
