First day of my last semester

First day of classes went ok. I've had better, though. Folklore will be interesting. But any class with Dr. Jordan is interesting. The girl who sat beside me was really friendly and nice. Which was good. However, after class, the two girls who are in the special section of Gender and Society came up to me and were like "We're going to go talk to Dr. Riden about when we're going to met." And honestly, I was like "okay, have at it and let me know *twitch* I want to get to my 11 o'clock class." But I went along with them and what I thought would take 5 minutes turned into 15 minutes. Eventually, I was like "Uh, what time is it 'cos I have to get to class." And Dr. Riden was like "*points to clock above the door, like I have been in her office a thousand times and how dare I ask* Don't you think we need to figure out the time blah blah blah." *fumes inside* I get to class a thousand minutes early AND it was the first day. You ALWAYS get to class early to claim your seat. So in the end, she was like "Okay, everyone email me your schedule." And I flew out of her office.
I couldn't remember what classroom we were in, but thankfully I ran into Dr. Coles in the hallway. We're in the classroom I don't like as much. All the windows are in the back, and not to the side. But, whatever. I get in there and almost every seat is taken. *Fumes* I did not get my seat. I had to seat in the front row. Which, I don't mind once I sat there. It's right in front of Dr. Coles, which is really interesting. So, the American Revolutionary Era will be good. As it usually is with Dr. Coles.
After class I went to Dr. Bates and asked if I really needed Gender and Society for the minor. Turns out, I don't. I just need Folklore (or Gender and Society) and I'd soo rather take Folklore. But I told him I felt guilty because that class was specially made for me and the two other girls. He made me feel a lot better about it, though. He was like "Sometimes you have to think of yourself and do things that will benefit you, blah blah blah." I was like "awww, Dr. Bates T____T I love you." So I was going to drop that class and the Mayan class.
During my hour and forty-five minute break I ran around campus paying a fine and finding out I OWE Longwood $331 in tuition. UMMMMMMMMM...... No. No. NO. I need a refund. I couldn't even drop the two classes. Grrrr. I was told to go to student accounts, only to be told I needed to go to the Registrar's office. When I got there, I was a little confused because they had been remolding it. Now it's all glass, hahaha. The receptionist gave me a nice form to fill out to drop those classes. While doing this, I talked to Elizabeth on the phone, complaining and whatnot.
PHED-101....oh boy. Doesn't seem like it will be as bad as I thought. After wondering around Willet, asking random people if they knew where room 223 was, I finally managed to find a professor leaving his office. T__T He guided me there. There turned out to be the gym. Duh. Why didn't I think of that. Anyway, I kind of know one girl in there, which is good. Except I don't really care that much for her. Ah well. Company is company. She's an anthro major, so I've had a bunch of classes with her. She's actually one of the girls in the special section of G&S. We have a set amount of walking to do each class (because it's "power walking") and once we've finished, we can go. You can bet I'm going to be speed walking. The guy is really really nice. He's the assistant director of recreation, and does this on the side. He was pretty funny, too. The email he sent back to me the other day was really, ah, nonchalant, I guess you could say.
I went to see Dr. Munson afterward to get him to sign my "Add/Drop" form. Only to get back to my car and see that the pimple (D:!!!) that developed overnight had some how popped and had a little dried blood around it. Cue embarrassment. Ah well. I'm excited for French Revolution tomorrow with him. T_____T I've wanted this since freshman year. I ever told him that. I love Dr. Munson. But then I had Dr. Coles, and I loved him. And Dr. Munson went away for a year and a half (One year for teaching in Britain and last semester because of sick leave) and I forgot how much I loved him. But talking to him again today reminded me. Best professor ever.
I'm so lucky, really. I get my three favorite professors my last semester: Dr. Munson, Coles, and Jordan. Kinda wish I had Dr. Reynolds, too, but I'd rather not have a German class.
So hopefully this semester will go well. My last semester. Sigh. And rejoice.
And now, I'm trying my hardest to stay awake. I didn't sleep at all last night. Probably only 30 minutes all together. So I'm kind of tired. I'm trying to tell myself 9 o'clock is late enough to go to bed. I don't have to be up until 10 or so because class is at 12.
And this probably has a million mistakes, but I don't care. I've used up all my energy trying to stay coherent today. But it still resulted in catastrophe. Dr. Coles asked me what comes after the title in the bibliography and I said "publication of place" instead of "place of pub." Smooth, Sarah. Smooth.
